Competition Schedule:
The schedule will be distributed prior to the event via e-mail and will be based on number of entries received and current COVID restrictions. Tentative schedule will be as follows:
Primary, Beginner and Novice - Registration will open at 8:30am with dancing to commence at 9am
Intermediate and Premier - Registration will open at 12:30pm with dancing to commence at 1pm
Competition Information:
- Dancing will conform to the RSOBHD rules. The decision of the Adjudicator is final.
- All dancers must show 2022 FUSTA/ScotDance card at the competition. No exceptions.
- Entries close April 16th – tickets are printable via TicketLeap.
- Age groups will be determined by number of entries. Dancer age based on day of competition.
- First to enter, last to dance. Last to enter, first to dance.
- Premier dancers 11 and under will dance cut steps.
- Oldest Premier group will be awarded cash prizes.
- Video Taping: Please be respectful of other dancers’ privacy and only video tape your dancer.
- Changing Tents will be available - 1 family / "pod" will be allowed in at a time, please be respectful of time using this area. It is strongly encouraged to bring your own changing tent.
- Dancer of the Day: All 1st place Premier winners will qualify to compete for the Dancer of the Day award. The 2022 Dancer of the Day dance will be a 4 step Highland Fling and will directly follow afternoon awards.
If a person is feeling ill, he/she must not attend a SDUSA event. This includes any of the following symptoms within the 48 hours prior to the event: fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell.
